Vitor’s lifelong passion for the culinary arts has taken him across the country. After getting his start cooking Asian and French fusion cuisine, he embarked on a journey to hone his skills.

Vitor’s passion for food has enabled him to train under acclaimed chefs, he has worked at the world renowned Nana Grill in Dallas and other award winning restaurants. He immersed himself in the culinary styles of world-famous destinations.  Now Vitor artfully combines techniques and ingredients from across continents into his own unique, internationally-inspired cuisine. Chef Vitor Abreu’s passion for food took root right here in the Midwest. He got his start with the Coffee Cap Café before rebranding it as Vitor’s in 2006.  Vitor has made his mark on the local dining scene for over 25 years. He has earned “Best of the City” for his French toast from Cincinnati Magazine. His signature brunch dishes also won awards from CityBeat, AOL CityGuide, and “Best of Taste.”  Most recently, Vitor was named “Best Chef of Ohio” by Midwestern Traveler 2023.  But accolades aside, he finds his greatest joy in cooking from the heart to create an unforgettable dining experience.

Vitor has showcased his skills on Food Network shows like Cutthroat Kitchen. 

Vitor chose Bright, Indiana for its charming small-town feel and proximity to local farms. Now he proudly sources seasonal ingredients from nearby producers to craft his signature new American dishes accented with international flair.
